Covenant Health Marathon

George joined about 800 other marathoners for the Covenant Health Marathon in Knoxville, TN on April 1, 2012. No, it was no April Fools joke; everyone ran the full 26.2 miles. It was a beautiful and hilly course, with bright sunshine following us most of the way. We finished at the 50-yard line inside Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Vols. Thanks for all of your support!

Trail Triple Crown Marathon

George and 100 other (foolish) runners tackled White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, DE on April 28 for the Delaware Trail Triple Crown Marathon. They traversed steep inclines, open meadows and farmers` fields, hopped over fallen logs, ducked under tree limbs, crossed the creek (4 times!), and enjoyed the scenery the whole way. Despite these obstacles, George finished with a respectable time of 5:43:48. After the race, he drove across the gorgeous Amish countryside of southern Pennsylvania to Gettysburg for Sunday`s race. Thank you everyone for all of your support!

Gettysburg North-South Marathon

On April 29, George ran in his most historic race yet, the Gettysburg North-South Marathon. The conditions couldn`t have been more perfect for a beautiful run through the rolling hills of this hollowed ground; it was an absolutely beautiful race! George turned in a time of 5:34:39, 9 minutes faster than the day before! Again, a huge thank-you to everyone that has been supporting us!
